My Why

Why I built The Legacy Binder

I've spent more than two decades as a firefighter paramedic.

Over the years, I've sat with families during some of the worst moments of their lives, and I saw the same problem over and over again — people were left scrambling for information they should have already had.

Then after finally organizing my own family's information, we were evacuated during a wildfire just two weeks later.

That experience changed everything.

So I built the system I wish every family already had.

I'm Paul Brewer, a working firefighter paramedic, and over the years I've been on calls where families were left scrambling for basic information during some of the worst moments of their lives.

Not because they didn't care. Because life got busy and nobody thought the emergency would happen yet.

After seeing it happen again and again, I realized my own family wasn't fully prepared either. So I built the system I wished we already had.

Two weeks after finally finishing it, we were evacuated during a wildfire, and for the first time, everything important was organized, ready, and easy to access.
